A good  1939 bar to the Iron Cross 2nd Class manufactured by Grossmann, Vienna. A beautiful quality heavily silver plated example with fine detail, and retaining its frosted finish with polished highlights. The reverse is complete with all four flat pins, and the LDO makers code  'L/11' impressed to the centre.

Provenance: Offered for sale with a letter signed by American collector Russ Hamilton. The letter confirms this particular  award, originated from the D.C.Watts collection, and was acquired in 1945 from the 'Berghof' as war souvenir.
