Allach Porcelain elephant calf, model number 3 by Theodor Kärner. The underside to the allach elephant shows a green-coloured, double rune Allach Porcelain trademark, and kiln-firing hole. To the offside, a white label, with black printing 'DRAMBUIE COLLECTION' and [ink] archive numbers.
Size: 7.7cm high.
Condition: Perfect.
Provenance: The Drambuie Collection was assembled by the Drambuie Liqueur Company, from the 1980s. Properties from this important corporate collection (including this particular Allach Porcelain elephant calf), were sold by Edinburgh-based auction house, Lyon & Turnball [2005].
Note: The MacKinnons ran the Drambuie Liqueur Company for over 250 years. The Drambuie Collection was released for sale following a management change in the 2000s. Former curator Robin Nicholson confirms,
