Blood Order for sale with full citation, 'personality paperwork' and provenance. The 2nd Pattern Blood Order group awarded to Austrian Putschist, Peter Moder. The Blood Order Medal with impressed recipient’s number ‘2611,’ the ‘800’ silver content number directly underneath. The Blood Order complete with its original mounted silk water-flecked ribbon in black, white & red.

The full-size Blood Order citation housed in its original red leather folder bearing gold impressed eagle & swastika motif. The parchment citation with blind embossed Blood Order motifs to either side, along with golden leaves decoration. The citation protected to the inside with its original [delicate] covering. The citation awarded to Peter Moder on 31st January 1940, and signed in ink by Reichsschatmeister Xaver Schwarz.

In addition to the Blood Order, the sale includes:

1- a typed document with 'Der Reichsschatzmeiseter' heading, and hand signed in ink by Xaver Schwarz. The document advising Moder, Hitler had agreed to award him the Blood Order Medal.

2- A document dated 29th February 1940, sent from the Gauschatzmeister der NSDAP Gau Kärnten. The document [1] confirming Gauleiter Kutschera will be issuing the Blood Order awards at the Landeshaus in Klagenfurt and [2] inviting Moder to attend the ceremony [in uniform] to accept his Blood Order.

3- A group of newspaper cuttings including a photograph of Moder wearing Blood Order ribbon.

4- Wehrpass=Notiz dated 23rd May 1941 allowing Moder a 48-hr break from duty.

5- A period photograph showing members of the Deutsche Feldpost including Moder wearing Blood Order Ribbon on his uniform.

6- A post-war document dated 1949, after the arrest of Moder, confirming his 16-month, (hard labour), prison sentence.

Condition report: The Blood Order medal with 98% original anodised finish remaining. Ribbon with slight rust stains showing from the metal mounting assembly. The citation folder in overall excellent condition, free from any damage, and just with light use and age visible. The gold impressed eagle & swastika motif perfect with no gold loss. The citation perfect with just lightest age present. Document 1 - two main folds. Some water damage. 2- Excellent overall condition with just light age showing. 3- Typical ageing to the newspaper, but overall excellent. 4- One fold. Generally clean. 5- Light use. 6- Light age.
