Heer Duty Clock by Kienzle 1943 Dated.

A Heer Duty Clock for sale made by Kienzle. The  inside marked 'Heereigentum' (Property of the German Army), along with the serial number and '1943' date. Black dial with white hour digits and luminous hour markers. Typical 8-Day movement. Housed in the standard duty clock wood case. Without stabilisers.

Condition report: Overall excellent condition. The wood housing without damage. Dial clean. Plexi-glass with typical light crazing. Movement functioning. No warranty implied

Note: This is a typical later-style duty clock with  the '24' hour dial (1-12 larger hours digits, and then smaller 13-24 digits). Holes are pre-drilled to the underbase for the metal stabilisers, but non fitted. This example probably for vehicle use where it would would be mounted using the backplate.

Provenance: Originally a part of the Ulric of England collection from the 1980s. Recently accepted on consignment. This example of duty clock is shown in the publication, German Military Timepieces of World War II Volume 3, pages 133 & 134.
