Kriegsmarine dagger for sale by WKC Solingen. The Kriegsmarine officers dagger with fine off-white ivorine grip, with golden wire binding. Standard lightning bolt scabbard, and double etched blade bearing the WKC manufacturer's logo, along with the etched panels bearing floral design with anchors.

Condition report: The eagle/swastika pommel, with approximately 70% gilt finish. The grip perfect and with good tight gilt wire bindings. Lower guard in good order and with 60/70% gilt remaining. Slight green verdigri visible to one arm of the lower guard. Typical double- engraved  dagger blade, etched  with fouled anchor motifs, particularly clean  and in excellent to near mint condition. The lightning bolt scabbard free from dents. The scabbard with much mercuric gilt plating (approximately 60/70% left) The pressure opening button not working correctly, and the dagger slides out of the scabbard with ease, but is not held in place by the catch.

Provenance: Acquired by the consigner's father in the 1950s, when he was travelling Europe on business as a wine merchant.
