Otto Gahr NSKOV Flag Finial | Rarity

The name Otto Gahr stands high in the field of Third Reich collecting. The house of Gahr was commissioned by Hitler to make the coveted Deutschland Erwache Standards. He also made the very first finials for the NSKOV (War Veterans) standards. 

This NSKOV finial represents a wonderful opportunity to own an item made by this famous Munich company.

NSKOV flag pole finial for sale with heavy, nickel-silver finish. The German flag pole top made by the prestigious, Munich-based company Otto Gahr, the early 'Party' finial shows typical  light use overall, and retains 98%  black and red, enamel finish. 

The finial stem impressed with GES.GESCH OTTO GAHR, and with  double-drilled screw-holes, for securing to a flagstaff.

Condition report: Showing some general service use, with typical wear to the plated elements. The Gahr name clear and sharp.

Notes: Otto Gahr is most notable for making the  'Deutschland Erwache' standards, and elusive SS Totenkopf rings. Gahr was responsible for making the first NSKOV and NSDAP flag pole tops (before they were mass-produced in aluminum).
