Hitler's Personal Security | Hand-Signed Hitler Citation

Of Historical Importance

The citation dated 3rd November 1937, was given to Kriminalhauptwachtmeister Johann Müller, on his promotion to Kriminsekretär im Reichsdienst. Müller was attached to the section dealing with Hitler's personal security.

The typical pre-war ‘Im Namen des Reichs’ citation (with its elaborate gothic-style script), bears a large ‘Führer’ blind-embossed wreathed eagle/swastika, along with an excellent bold hand-ink signature of Adolf Hitler, Dr.Hans Lammers, also counter signs the citation in his capacity as Chief of the Reichschancellory.

The minute green-coloured,  double ‘H’ initials of Reichsführer-SS Himmler signed directly after the 'Der Führer und Reichskanzler' make for additional historic interest.

Largely unseen when first  looking at the citation, the initials confirm, ( in addition to Hitler and Lammers), Himmler was also present, the initials giving his consent to  Müller's promotion.

An additional document signed by Dr.Lammers [dated 3rd November 1937], was also given to Müller at the same time as the citation. Bearing the Chief of Hitler’s Reichschancellory heading, (Der Staatssekretär und Chef der Reichskanzlei), Dr. Lammers states that in accordance with the wishes of the Chef der Reichssicherheitsdienst (Reinhard Heydrich),  Müller’s promotion to Kriminsekretär im Reichsdienst is agreed and official.

Condition report: Both documents free from folds or other damage. Some marks to the upper left where paper clips have been present in the past.

Notess: Two important and historical German documents, offered for sale together and  worthy of further research.
