SA 'Horst Wessel' Standarte 5 brown shirt for sale. The SA Sturmführer brown shirt with typical pleated pockets, and turn back cuffs. The shirt retains the following insignia,  single epaulette, with 'old silver' braids, on a black wool base.

Unit-patch insignia with standarte 5 in old silver on black wool, and companion rank-patch with three silvered-pips.Both collar patches piped with black & white alternating piping. 

The left sleeve retains a swastika armband, along with a fine silver wire gothic 'Horst Wessel' cuff title.  

Condition report: The SA brown shirt in much used condition, showing service wear overall. Typically the 'old silver' epaulette braids have darkened with age, as has the collar insignia, and cuff title. Particular wear can be seen around the collar edge, and cuffs.

Note: Undoubtedly, the most famous National-Socialist martyr, Horst Wessel, was murdered by Communists, and his name given as an honour to his old SA Standarte from Berlin, Standarte 5. An exceptionally rare Third Reich artifact.
