An SS dagger made by the elusive  Jacobs & Co. The 1933 pattern, transitional, SS dagger dates from around 1938, and is offered for sale in good original condition.

The black ebony grip is free from any cracks or splits and retains the aluminum eagle/swastika along with the Runes eye. The upper and lower crossguards have the plated nickel-silver finish, which are in very good condition.

The blade retains approximately 95% polish and crossgrain, although some age spotting is evident (it may be possible to remove this by professional cleaning). The exclamation mark is positioned towards the end of the motto which is sharp; Jacobs & Co., and Klittermann are the only dagger-makers to produce  blades with the exclamation mark. The reverse bearing the full Jacobs & Co trademark.

The scabbard has a black anodised finish and retains approximately 90% black finish and the scabbard mounts are in good overall condition with a bottom ball free from dents. The dagger still retains its black leather vertical hanging strap fully marked with the RZM and SS trademarks, date stamped for 1938.
