Background: The SS Family Book was written by SS-Obergruppenführer Fritz Weitzel, and supported by Reichsführer-SS Himmler. In addition to detailing the principles by which SS families should conduct their day-to-day lives, the book provides guidance for commemorating SS family birthdays and seasonal occasions from Easter to Christmas.
