WW1 War medal & Victory medal for sale. The WW1 medal pair to Private Frederick Horridge, East Lancashire Regiment. The medals  with original box and buff-coloured paper [medal] envelopes as issued. Silk medal ribbons present and mint condition.

The original cardboard medal box in overall very good condition, with complete label to the front. To the reverse, the  manufacturer name and address.

Additional information: Frederick Horridge was born in Preston, Lancashire. Occupation, Cotton Warehouseman. Horridge enlisted to the East Lancashire Regiment in 1914.  In 1919 he was wounded in the arm at Rouen, France, which led to paralysis and transfer to hospital in England.

Horridge was discharged from the East Lancashire Regiment in 1919. Private Horridge's discharge papers confirm  he was of 'very good character.'
