Allgemeine-SS Totenkopfverbande 'Oberbayern' officer service tunic for sale. The tunic  with the rank of SS-Untersturmfuhrer. The tunic tailored using a very fine black wool / doeskin material. Insignia consisting of a single epaulette insignia bearing the silver-aluminium cords on back. The collar patch insignia with the silver-aluminium wire skull, along with the '1' designation. The companion rank patch with three silver-aluminium pips, both patches with silver edge piping. The embroidery of the skull and '1' of particularly high quality workmanship. Both collar patches beautifully tailor machine-sewn into place at the time the tunic was first tailored.

The tunic with  the standard SS armband and  fine, hand-embroidered silver-aluminium 'Oberbayern' cuff title. The tunic also has the Old Campaigners chevron to the right-hand sleeve. There are loops for two awards to the pocket, along with loops for a small ribbon bar. Fine dull silvered matching buttons throughout. The lining in typical black silk and with tailor stripe silk to the sleeves. The tunic hosts a good set of parade aiguillettes.

Condition report: Overall very goood towards excellent condition, showing some light service wear. The insignia fresh looking. Collar patches machine-sewn into position . The armband typically hand-sewn on, the cuff title machine-sewn into position. The tunic free from moth or damage. Lining clean.

Provenance: Acquired by the consigner from the Munich-based specialist collector, Karl Stadlberger.
