Cased German Cross in Gold for sale. The German Cross in Gold with the rare, Otto Klein, '134' maker code number.  The the obverse to the Cased German Cross with black enamel swastika, gilt wreath and grey-coloured, anodised sun rays.

The reverse to the German Cross with frosted-silver finish, four hollow rivets, Otto Klein, maker cartouche with number '134', and vertical, flat-tapered pin assembly in polished silver. The case  in black leatherette with a gold border. The case is lined with white silk to the lid, and black-coloured, flocked cloth to the base.

Condition report: The Cased German Cross is offered for sale in excellent condition with the highly-polished silver edge rays. The black enamel swastika is perfect, free from any damage or scratches. The frosted silver centre perfect. The golden wreath complete with all mercuric gilt finish, and  highly polished bands. The grey anodised rays in excellent condition, with only the very high points showing loss of paint finish (98% anodised finish remaining).

Reverse frosted silver finish with light age darkening in places. The '134'  digits perfect and clear. The polished pin assembly fine and with good polish remaining.

The black leatherette case in close to perfect condition. No damage to the leatherette, or adverse wear. The inside to the case, fine with the white silk lid lining,  perfect. The white silk hinge-protector free from undue fraying. The base showing just light wear at the point where the award  may have been removed, and returned to the case.
