Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler Photo Album
A particularly rare and historic Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler photograph album. The initial pages show photographs from the Berlin Lichtefelde Barracks, and include photographs detailing the individuals wearing the black uniform from 1935 through to early field-grey wear, and into the 1940s.
The album originally belonged to SS-karl Schmidt with the 1st Company LAH Signals. Photographs of Schmidt's Commanding officer, Keilhaus, and an excellent signed and dedicated portrait are included in the album
Beautifully quarter-bound in leather, with golden blocked spine (Runes and 'Meine Dienstzeit' designation). The album is offered for sale with Schmidt's SS Aryan Ancestry papers complete to 1750. A significant SS photograph album, offering the possibility for further research.
Condition report: Light storage wear to covers, otherwise overall excellent condition. Photographs clean and fresh.
