Luftwaffe General's four-pocket tunic for sale. The Luftwaffe tunic tailored by the Saarbrucken firm of Franz Fiedler in field-blue gabardine. The tunic with a mid-blue silk lining, and with tailor-stripe sleeve linings.
The tunic completed with golden piping to the collar and golden buttons throughout. The epaulettes and collar patches show the original owner to have held the rank of full general, such as General Der Flieger. The epaulettes with gold & silver-aluminium and two pips on white doeskin bases. The collar patches with three golden celluloid wings within full wreath, finished on white doeskin with golden wire edge piping. The tunic with a fine golden celluloid and wire embroidered Luftwaffe eagle/swastika to the right breast.
The tunic retains loops for various badges and ribbons, including no less than three sets for awards, additionally there are loops for an award on the right-hand-side, probably a German Cross.
Condition report: The tunic in overall excellent to near mint condition. Free from moth or other damage. The insignia remaining bright. The collar patches in an attractive duo-tone with darker wings & wreath, and lighter edge piping.
