A Dirty Dozen, British Army watch for sale made by Omega, Switzerland, circa 1944.
The vintage military watch with large stainless steel, turned case (45.0 mm x 35.0 mm excluding crown), and contract, screw case-back. Typical black dial with the Omega trade-name, and War Department arrow. The dial with 1-12 hour digits, 60-second scale with luminous hour-marks. Subsidiary seconds-dial at 18.00 hrs.
To the reverse, case-back with markings, War Department arrow, 'WWW Y 16873,' and serial number; the inside to the case-back with War Department arrow and serial number. The high quality, 15-jewel movement with nicely-finished main bridges. The balance with screw-in weights. The Omega watch trade name to the main Bridge.
Condition report: Just light use to the case. plexi-glass clear and free from adverse scratching. Dial perfect and original. Hands with original finish (small loss to lume on the minute hand). Case-back clean and free from adverse scratches or damage.
Movement clean and functioning. No warranty implied.
