NSDAP Gau East Prussia Badge Of Honour for sale. The  oval-shaped NSDAP badge with decorative outer oakleaves border, and central eagle/swastika over the shield of East Prussia. Reverse with vertical semi-flat pin construction. Raised manufacturer name, 'Wachtler & Lange, Mittweida SA'.  Directly below the manufacturer's name, the impressed number, '1869'. Manufactured in Tombak with a silvered finish. The case in burgundy leather, and with burgundy silk and velvet to the inside. The burgundy velvet fitted to acept the badge.

Condition report: Some light use to the badge, with wear showing to the high points. The reverse bottom catch with an old repair (probably period up to 1945). Approximately 95% silver wash remaining, along with anodised background..

Note: The Gau Baden badge of honour was instituted in 1938 by Gauleiter Erich Koch. Although lower figures were initially believed, it is thought that just under 3000 awards of this badge were made. award pieces are numbered, although un-numbered so-called 'second' pieces could also be purchased.
