A Napoleonic badge for sale. The ammunition pouch badge to the 61st Regiment of Foot (1796-1814).
The obverse with impressed '61.' The reverse hollow, and with four small threads (to attach to the ammunition pouch).
Size: 5.0cm x 3.80cm.
Condition report: Excavated condition. Some verdigris present.
Note: The 61st Regiment of Foot fought throughout the Penninsular war. It is believed the ammunition pouch badge was found in the area of Nivelle.
