Napoleonic Royal Navy cuff button for an officer circa 1793. Mercuric gilt over brass construction. Obverse with typical impressed fouled anchor motif. The reverse with typical flat back and central fixing loop. No maker present. Size: 14mm.

Condition report: Approximately 15% of the original mercuric gilt plating still present to the obverse, approximately 65% to the reverse. Slight wear to the obverse, still very sharp detail for its age. The fixing loop now bent over.
