Napoleonic Royal Navy cuff button for an officer circa 1812. Mercuric gilt over brass construction. Obverse with typical oval border with rope inner and outer edges, central large fouled anchor. The anchor set in relief over diagonal striping. The reverse with typical flat back and central fixing loop. No maker present. Size: 14mm.

Condition report: Approximately 65% of the original mercuric gilt plating still present. Very sharp detail for its age.
