Relief detail of  central castle within shield, anchor above, with the designation,'1st Regt.' Relief designation to the edge, 'Royal Edinburgh Volunteers.' The button with typical shank to the reverse.

Condition report: The button in an excellent condition with 98% mercuric gilt remaining. Detail perfect, and free from polishing or general wear. Reverse with  shank intact.
