Stabswache Goring cuff title for sale with silver-aluminium bullion-wire gothic style hand-embroidery on a red wool field, with silver wire borders. Length 43cm

Condition report: Removed from a jacket, and showing some general use. Overall very good condition. Some wear and oxidation to the silver wire embroiderey, and some age discolouration to the upper and lower borders. The cuff title appears to be full length as issued, but the two ends (approximately 4cm each side) have been lapped back on themselves, when attached to a jacket, as such they remain in clean condition with most wool pile surviving.

Provenance: Manion Auction House 1980s. Two collections since, until consigned to ULRIC of ENGLAND.

Notes: The Stabswache Goring security unit was set-up around 1930, and seems to have been disbanded by 1934. Three examples of this cuff title are known to survive. See Cloth Insignia Of The NSDAP And SA, Angolia, page 328, for further information and example.
