A Waterloo Medal for sale to Gunner Samuel Marland. The Waterloo Medal is nicely toned,(being more subdued than the photographs), with an original steel clip and ring suspension (brooching evident). The naming to the Waterloo Medal generally clear: a bruise to the letter  'L' on the name 'Marland.' Replacement ribbon.

Note: Gunner Samuel Marland is confirmed on the Waterloo Roll. Copies of papers held by the National Archives are included with the sale. The papers confirm Marland was a 'Gunner Dismounted,' attached to Captain Gardiner's Troop.
